More Fun Bodyweight Training Video At buildingbodies.ca Calgary personal trainer Ray Burton shows you that a dipping/chinning belt is a great piece of equipment to add to the “must have” list if you are setting up your own home gym or personal training studio. In my case, the Harbinger PolyPro Dip Chin Belt is what I am using in my personal training studio and it’s been holding up really well. Besides the basic chinup and dipping with weight options I now have, I can also do a host of other new exercises like donkey calf raises and sumo squats on blocks.

is this an exercise for the lower chest right?

  • iceymanjack says:

does this exercise also help other muscles too?

  • Nagirola says:

yes if you need maximal strenght / power and big Muscles and high weight make dips with weight.

If you want a bit power, speed, power endurence make more reps and dont use weights

@HowAboutSomeTruth1 “Better” is a relative term. It depends on what you are after. My goals for my training change constantly.

  • HowAboutSomeTruth1 says:

Do you think it’s better to do dips with weights or no weights with more reps?

Also, how many sets/reps do you usually do?

    @pocker85 My pleasure to help.

    Thanks, it works

  • buildingbodies says:

@pocker85 Do some squats…. OR loop the chain straight through, then back across then back THEN loop the weight on, so it actually fits like a belt. But watch your junk if it gets swinging.

I have a issue with this this belt, it falls down when I use it, any suggestions?
    thanks

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear… does it make a noise? Seriously… o.k. maybe not but if you punched and kicked a guy at the same time…. did you still punch him? NON OF WHAT I’M SAYING MAKES ANY SENSE because I’m busy getting my morning coffee on….

Cool. Check out the ‘chest and arm workout with rings’ video above as well. I have the rings set up on the other side of my basement. Using the dipping belt on the rings is a pretty fun way to do dips as well! :-)

    Stress the muscle
    feed the muscle
    rest the muscle

    it’s that simple.

if you start too early with weights you will injure yourself. your joints and bones are still growing. i think its O.K to do bodyweight exersizes(pushups pullups dead-lifts..)
