Hi, I’m going to BMT in 3 months and i heard a lot of comments that BMT is very hard, i will really like to know how hard it is, my recruiter told me that i’ll do a lot of fitness like 3 to 5 times a week anyways i know that i have to do a lot of push ups, do i really have to make 45 push ups since day 1, or they gonna give me training to do that and also how many push ups do i need to make before to go to BMT.

I hope to receive professional help because the fitness area its something that im worry about it
thank you very much

I’m 6ft about 195-205lbs. I’m a little heavy but not fat by any means and I have great leg and decent arm strength, will I be good to pass APFT by the end of basic?

Assuming I lose weight and gain muscle while there.
Well I think at most right now I can only do about 15 but since I wont be joining till next year that gives me some time to work on it.

I’m not looking for the minimum requirements… I know that I need to do 8 pull-ups and 42 push-ups and all of that. But what can people normally do as they’re entering basic training? And after training, how much can they do?

A friend and I had planned to go to Ft. Benning on the same date and hoped that we’d train together. A long shot, but still. Anyway, he’s gold on his initial fitness assessment accept for his running, where he’s at 9:10 for a mile and he needs to be at 8:30. If he is put into the FTC and can’t pass standards for over a week, will he be able to rejoin the rest of our group where we’re at or will he have to start late with phase one? Also, would it be possible for him to lower his mile time in the next week and a half? He’s willing to work hard, and the 9:10 wasn’t terrible considering he never exercises. The only problem is the lack of time an his general build; he has huge shoulders and is built like a linebacker, minus the muscle. He just doesn’t seem like the running type. But could he possibly drop a minute from his mile in that short of time? And how?

Does it go from being physically easy to physically challenging? Or doe you just start off in the middle somewhere? Im also talking about the Army

please give me some advice on making basic training easier. How many miles should i run? How many push ups should i be doing and how many should i be doing at once? How many sit ups should i be doing too? And any other advice will be helpful.
im 18 and i got 107 days in till i leave to benning

Like say you go through the 12 weeks but still by the end you don’t pass the physical fitness. I’m a 22 year old male, 30 pounds overweight, and I rarely work out. I’m going to graduate with a bachelors degree soon and am considering joining the Air Force Reserve.
My height is 6′ even, I weigh 215 pounds, and I graduate in March.
