Hey Everyone,

Just looking for some general feedback. I in the process of starting a niche Parents & Kids gym. There will be 2 rooms divided by large windows….in the kids area there will be gymnastic equipment, rock climbing wall, rope, and other fun fitness activities. The adult exercise area will consist of standard work out machines, free weights and cardio equipment. The kids will be able to see their parents working out and this would hopefully promote healthy lifestyles. Upon registration each family receives a Life Coach which will guide them through their fitness progress.

What do you think? Any comments?

I am trying to get personal training clients at pf gyms-i can work there as an independent contractor ,but i need to pay them $500 a month,i previously worked at world gym,but they took 50% of what the client paid for the sessions,i only got paid when i trained someone,if they were sick and missed a session,i did not get paid.I have found that people are eager to get free personal training advice, but, they do not want to pay for it. At pf gyms,i am not allowed to solicit the members,if i cannot let people know that i am a trainer, how do i get clients?i have made fliers up and distributed them to the surrounding businesses.I charge from $600 for 12 sessions to $2,000 for 50 sessions. What can i do to get some clients to train. Thank you in advance for your advice.

I hate weights. Plan to get an elliptical and use it for cardio and strength training.

im planning on going to santa monica college and getting a degree in kinesiology but is that enough or should i go to a vocational school and get a certificate in fitness training too..to have higher possibilities of being hired…and how long would it take to become one and is 5′2 too short to be a fitness trainer??

I have always loved gymnastics and I competed in high school. I just graduated college and I have been working as a gymnastics coach for a local fitness facility for 3 months. I love the work (I coach pre team and help with team 3). I only work about 12 hours a week. I have been thinking of quitting because on days that I work during the day it takes me 50 minutes to get there and I will also be taking a class starting Jan. and hopefully starting graduate school next fall for physcial therapy. I was wondering if I should stick it out or look for a different job that I can get more hours and is closer for me. The gas prices and not having a full time job are really hurting me. If I do quit, will it be bad for trying to get other jobs? Thank you!

I am relatively new to Excel and need a simple layout for data input such as 3 columns A, B and result in C. Distance (decimal miles) in A, time (hrs, mins, secs) in B and average speed (as 00.00 mph) in C. Would any kind person be able to offer suggestions for layout and cell/column formula so I am able just to enter date in columns A and B. I need accuracy to 2 decimal places to monitor progress for a ’same-distance ride’ at the end of each week.
