Im 32 and am looking for a training or fitness getaway. Cleansing, hiking and/or training. Need something challenging and intense, like a 30 day transformation to kick start myself. Not lazy and not looking for cooking classes or nutritional education. Any GOOD suggestions??
Thanks
I never thought that a vacation in the tropics of Thailand on the island of Phuket, Thailand could turn into a life changing experience, but it did. I spent nearly two months at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp on the island of Phuket, Thailand and had a wonderful time enjoying Thai culture, meeting the Muay Thai trainers and staff at Tiger Muay Thai, however, what happened was I ended up losing 21 pounds in almost two months and enjoying every minute of exercise and training Muay Thai.
I have never been too outgoing, but after seeing theri website, I was excited and decided that a vacation that could also be beneficial by losing weight, getting fit through exercise training Muay Thai two times each day, and also swimming and going to the beach. I was amazed.
I lost weight, gained muscle, learned a new Martial Art, Muay Thai, which is the National Sport of Thailand and a lot like kickboxing but with elbows and knees. I also got an incredible tan. At least 3 times a week myself and several friends I made while training at the camp would go down to Nai Harn, Kata, or even Karon beaches. Just beautiful stretches of white sand and ice blue water. We trained at the beach, had BBQ parties at the training camp with live music, and even real fights in one of the Muay Thai rings. There must have been 75+ people for the BBQ and full moon party.
If you have not considered a fitness vacation or weight-loss holiday, you should consider Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand. Wonderful people that changed my perspective on fitness holidays.
What I thought made the difference was the the way we trained Muay Thai and MMA in groups of beginners to intermediate to advanced. I started out as a beginner and by my 6th week at the camp my head Muay Thai instructor said I was able to move up into the next level of Muay Thai training.
The training camp offers “Boot Camp” fitness courses, Yoga, and running programs for fitness for those that like those types of exercise. There are on-site bungalows which are very affordable and a wide variety of resorts located within walking distance f Tiger Muay Thai and many of those have pools, restaurants, and air-conditioning.
I would rate my time at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand with 5 stars. I will certainly return as I made frinds that will join me again next year for weight-loss, training Muay Thai, and fun in the sun.
