Doing many sets of strength training with moderate weights or doing max strength training with very little sets say 2 sets max. Which approach burns more fat?

My hand was bend to the other side and now when I rotate my wrist it hurts.

Im very worried about it cos now its risky doing my bodybuilding workout also.

I’m 50, trying to tone and lose 15 lbs. Used to be a gym rat in college, free access to gym. Has been over 15 yrs since I was toned. I’m wanting to get back into shape by working out at home. I do cardio via a Gazelle Freestyle but read that I should add strength training to build muscle and increase metabolism. I was given free weights but only up to 5lbs ea (have never used them). Are these enough? If I wear wrist and ankle weights while doing cardio will that help build muscle? I also have one 10lb dumbbell weight. Read that laying that on my stomach while doing leg lifts would accelerate results (trying to tone lower tummy pouch). Is this true?

Hi, I live in Canada, where can I buy weights for my ankles for strength training and what are they called? and where do I buy weighted vests?

I use to train with a trainer eight years ago and I quit after a while because of personal issues. I started lifting again today and I’m using the same trainer that I had 10 years ago. Since we know each other he said that he is not giving me a regular training session but a professional body building session to help me build up a lot of muscles faster. So my question is what’s the difference between the normal way of building muscles compared to the way professionals use to lift weights?

I have just recently started strength training, and as such I am relatively week, and I don’t have anyone to come with me with which to spot me. So do weight cadio machines work as well as free weights early on for building up?
