No. It doesn’t burn enough calories. You have to do something to get your heart rate up. Could you bike, or swim, or hike?
Resistance training with weights has been shown to rev your metabolism for up to 72 after your workout. Cardio workouts are only good for 3-4 hours. Use light weights and high rep counts if you don’t want to bulk. If you want to add mass (bulk) use 70% or more of your one-rep max weight, keep reps in the 5-8 rep zone and increase protein intake to 1-1.5 g per pound of bodyweight.
